The image on the front cover of Paperblank's midi hardback notebook, comes from Andrew Lang’s the ‘Violet Fairy Book’, compiled in 1901 by the Scottish poet and anthropologist Andrew Lang (1844-1912) and illustrated by Henry Justice Ford (1860-1941). The book was one in a twelve part series known as ‘Andrew Lang’s Fairy Book of Many Colours’. Each book in this series was named for the colour of it’s fairy, and this Violet Fairy journal reproduces the front cover of that book’s first edition.
